With a vast territory and long coastline, China enjoys rich wind power recourses. Nation-wide, the wind power density at ten meters high is 100 watts/m2 and the wind power reserves that can be exploited on sea and land is about 1 billion kilowatts. CECIC has committed itself to the development of wind power. The introduction and absorption of wind power technology, equipment manufacturing, project construction, and operation maintenance are specific factors that the CECIC focuses on to advance the development of wind power. CECIC plans to have the wind power capacity reach 1000 MW by the year 2012. The wind farm, under construction, will be about 500 MW when it is completed in Hebei, Xinjiang and other provinces. CECIC has a reserve of wind power resources in Inner Mongolia and Gansu of 2000 MW. CECIC has invested and controlled a technologically advanced wind power equipment manufacturer. |
